Seriously, all of that legal obligation of determining effective license poistion is situated in the MSBA terms and conditions. Unless your company has engaged in a Volume License Agreement and/or VLSC agreement ( of which you've also signed a Master Business Services Agreement), there is nothing in *any* license agreement that obligates you to a SAM review/audit.


What I can tell you is that these audits are not legally or contractually binding on the products that you have purchased via OEM or Retail. Microsoft also bought my last web-based SAM service. Guys, I eat Microsoft audits for breakfast.
